Who can apply

Eligibility criteria

Nationality: Must be a Citizen of India
Educational Qualification: Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized University. Result must be declared on or before 31 July 2026
NATS candidates: Graduation result must have been declared between 01 March 2022 and 31 July 2026
Local Language: Proficiency (reading, writing, speaking, understanding) in the local language of the applied state. A Class 10/12 mark sheet showing the language studied may exempt the language test
Prior Apprenticeship: Must not have previously undergone or currently be pursuing apprenticeship at IOB or any other organisation under the Apprentices Act
Work Experience: Candidates with 1 year or more of job/training experience after graduation are not eligible
Ex-Servicemen: Not eligible — no reservation for ex-servicemen/disabled ex-servicemen in this engagement

Selection process

Online written examination
100 objective questions across 4 subjects, 90 minutes, taken remotely with your own camera-enabled device. Tentatively 02 August 2026.

Test of local language
Conducted after qualifying the written exam, as part of document verification. Waived if Class 10/12 mark sheet shows the language was studied.

Document verification / personal interaction
Held at Bank-designated centres across India. Original certificates and self-attested photocopies must be produced.

Medical fitness & character verification
Engagement is subject to being declared medically fit and satisfactory verification of character, antecedents, and caste validity (where applicable).

Apprenticeship begins
12-month on-the-job training at the assigned IOB branch, with monthly stipend as per branch category. A one-year waitlist is maintained against non-joining.
