Who can apply

Eligibility criteria (cut-off 01.01.2026)

Nationality: Citizen of India, subject of Nepal or Bhutan, a Tibetan refugee who arrived before 1 Jan 1962, or a person of Indian origin migrated from specified countries with intent to settle permanently (certificate of eligibility required for the latter categories)
Educational Qualification: Graduate degree in any discipline, result declared on or before 31 December 2025. For NATS-registered candidates, graduation date must not be more than 4 years before the cut-off
Local Language: Must be proficient (reading, writing, speaking, understanding) in the local language of the applied State/UT
Prior Apprenticeship: Must not have previously undergone or currently be pursuing apprenticeship at PNB or any other organisation, and must not have been previously terminated for misconduct
Work Experience: Candidates with 1 year or more of job/training experience after completing graduation are not eligible
Ex-Servicemen: Not eligible — no reservation for ex-servicemen/disabled ex-servicemen in this engagement

Selection process

Online written test
100 objective questions across 4 subjects, 60 minutes, taken remotely with your own camera-enabled device. Tentatively first week of March 2026.

Document verification
Eligibility with respect to age, qualification, and category is determined at document verification, at a centre decided by the Bank in the applied State/UT.

Test of local language
Conducted at document verification for the applied State's local language. Waived if Class 10/12 mark sheet shows the language was studied.

Medical examination
Engagement is subject to a medical fitness certificate from a registered MBBS physician, at the candidate's own expense.

Digital contract & training
Selected candidates are offered a digitally signed apprenticeship contract via the portal. One-year training begins with 2 weeks Basic Training + 50 weeks On-the-Job Training.

Upload Aadhaar, photo, mark sheets, and category certificates (if applicable), then pay the applicable examination fee.
