Who can apply

Eligibility criteria (cut-off 01.04.2026)

Nationality: Citizen of India. Candidates can apply for engagement in ONE State only and appear for the exam only once.
Educational Qualification: Graduation from a recognized University/Institute as on 01.04.2026.
Local Language: Must be proficient (reading, writing, speaking, understanding) in the specified local language of the applied State/UT.
Prior Apprenticeship: Must NOT have undergone or currently be pursuing apprenticeship in SBI or any other organization under Apprentices Act 1961.
Work Experience: Candidates with 1 year or more job/training experience after completing graduation are NOT eligible.
Ex-Servicemen & CIBIL: Ex-servicemen are not eligible. Candidates with default record in loan/credit card dues or adverse CIBIL status are not eligible.

How selection works

Selection process

Online written test
100 objective questions (100 marks) across 4 sections with 15 minutes sectional timing each. Conducted at designated test centers nationwide in July 2026.

Test of local language
Conduct of local language test for the applied State. Exempted if 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/certificate shows having studied the specified language.

Document verification & CIBIL Check
Verification of age, qualifications, caste/EWS/disability certificates, and CIBIL status checking.

Medical examination
Final engagement is subject to being declared medically fit as per Bank standards and KYE formalities.

Contract signing & 1-Year Training
Signing of digital apprenticeship contract on NAPS portal with Aadhaar card and start of 1-year training with ₹15,000 stipend.
